VFW Post 2152, Waltham, presents $500 check to Community Day Center (CDC) of Waltham

On October 12, 2021, VFW Post 2152, Waltham, presented a $500 check to the Community Day Center (CDC) of Waltham. The CDC provides general services (i.e. food, mail, personal hygiene products, etc.), case management services and programs and workshops to adults experiencing homelessness. They serve over 9,000 meals in Waltham annually and over 40 clients on a daily basis. Unfortunately for all concerned, some of their clients are indeed veterans. Post 2152 members unanimously voted in favor of the donation due to the dire need for services observed in the local community.  Pictured from left to right in the photo:

Although Post 2152 still meets virtually due to the effects of COVID 19, we find ways to continue to directly impact the local community in positive ways. As our motto says "No one does more for Veterans.”
